My son and I recently had the opportunity to hunt at Santa Cruz Ranch. This is by far one of best properties I’ve hunted. The hunting lodge is amazing and has everything you need. The staff was top notch and provided great service during our stay. The meals were all delicious. Make sure you ask Lolon to make some “pan del campo”. The guides are all very knowledgeable. Desi and Pablo were the guides we worked with during our stay. Pablo helped me harvest a 182 class whitetail and Desi help my son harvest a 34” Axis. We had a great time during our stay and can’t wait to come back next season. Thanks again to Eric and his team.

Wow! What an experience. The Santa Cruz forever changed my mind on this style of hunting. Eric, Lolon, Pablo, Nick & the rest of the team are anything short of professional. We entered this trip with no expectations and there to soak up the full South Texas experience and feel like we left with Life Long Friends and felt like family for the duration. The hunting…well it’s anything short of easy. It’s a true “brush country” experience and the Ranch is crawling with wildlife. From Blind Hunting, Spot & Stalk to a “Top Drive Safari Truck”…whatever your passion, they have the accommodations to make you successful and yearning to come back! Can’t wait to spend time with these guys again in the future!

What an awesome weekend! This hunt was everything you hope for when you envision the South Texas experience. The ranch is beautiful and it was a privilege to meet all of the staff. They definitely go above and beyond for everyone involved. We can’t wait to go back and put in some more miles with you guys! Looking forward to sending Augie to the shooting range to practice.

Whitetail 2022 - Alabama
Just spent 3 days on property! This was hands down the best place I've ever hunted. Everything from the guides (Nick, Andy & Mark), the chef/mixologist Lolon, and the owner Eric's hospitality is unmatched. 5 Star Lodge without a doubt. Every meal was delicious and plentiful. The hunts were an absolute blast, the guides have so much knowledge about all the whitetails and exotics. Everybody on property makes sure you are more than taken care of. I will be back without a doubt. If you're looking for a lodge anywhere in Texas DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP.

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to hunt axis deer. I was really excited because I’ve never killed an axis buck. First time hunting at Santa Cruz Ranch. It was an experience I’ll never forget. Thanks Eric for the experience and opportunity.

Nilgai - Millbrook Alabama
I had planned a Nilgai hunt. The lodge is first class. Food was excellent. The staff was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure my hunt was enjoyable. Nick, my guide was well versed on Nilgai behavior. I would recommend Nick as a guide to everyone. I will be scheduling another Hunt with Santa Cruz Ranch. The staff makes you feel at home with family.
Idaho
Wonderful experience, the hospitality, the rooms, luxury comfort in a brand new ranch mansion. Huge spaces well planned areas to relax and eat. Fantastic tex-mex food and traditional dishes. Excellent friendly staff, we did not want to leave on our final day. Stories about animals, the local tigers included, tons of observation on vehicles, like the hunting rig, leaves you astonished. The hunting is great, animal amount and quality bountiful. Owner and staff fantastic thank you Eric, Andy and Nick.

Blackbuck Hunt
We spent an incredible weekend out at the Santa Cruz Ranch. Santa Cruz Ranch is a first class ranch here in South Texas and I can't say enough things about this place. Awesome guides, staff, food and accommodations! We rode around for a tour and saw so much wildlife before our hunt. At night, we had a great dinner out at the hangout spot outside. It was an all around great experience and I was able to harvest an amazing Blackbuck with my guide, Pablo. Can't wait to get back out there hunting with Eric at the Santa Cruz Ranch. I recommend it to anyone wanting a great, one-of-a-kind hunting experience.
Father Sons Axis hunt - Seattle, WA
My Dad and my two older brother and I went to Santa Cruz Ranch after nearly 20 years of not being able to hunt all at the same time. Can't think of a better place to reunite and enjoy a great hunt. We saw great animals almost non stop, the guides were awesome and interesting people, and Eric and his family really know how to make you feel welcome and taken care of.
They have awesome equipment, including a crazy Top Drive safari truck with all the bells and whistles. They fed us great food every chance they got and Eric made sure we left feeling happy with a successful hunt. I'd give 6 stars if I could. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great hunt, especially if you want to have some fun and relax a bit too.

I like to say THANK YOU to Eric and his crew (Andy,Omar, and Galindo)! Eric has great knowledge of the deer and the exotics that are here at the Santa Cruz Ranch. Eric will do everything possible to get you a kill. The lodge is extremely beautiful and his pets Prince, and Journey are a must see. I will definitely be back to share this experience with my family. Oh yeah, his wife makes excellent breakfast tacos too!!! Thank You!!
